Thought it'd be appropriate to start the blog home in Pembury, giving an epic feel to the crossover between my current habitat and the next (Beijing!). Really looking forward to this adventure, an anticipation naturally mixed with apprehension.

The more hairy the ride, the better in many respects! I embarked on the gap year partly as a result of bad 'luck' with University offers but also as a desire for something wild and remote wherein I could mature emotionally and spiritually.
